You've probably seen some of our 28 vehicles driving around Barrow transporting our valued customers.


Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out - and as part of our engineering team, you'll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that.

It's a really important role within our depot, so we'll make sure you're as looked after as our vehicles are


You will be part of a team maintaining and repairing our fleet of 28 buses in Barrow part of the 277 vehicles we operate across Cumbria and North Lancashire.

Vehicles range from bus to coach and include ADL, MAN, Optare and Scania.


Don't worry if you've never worked on these vehicle makes before - we'll train you on everything you need to know, and you'll be supported by a great team of Fitters and Technicians.

Free travel - for you and your companion on our buses. That means on your days off you can be off shopping for free without worrying about parking the car or heading off for a day in the Lakes without paying a fortune in petrol or parking

A great regular income and great benefits - up to £11.12 per hour (Pay rise pending), plus a good pension scheme to look after you after you've hung up the spanner


Promotions - perhaps you're happy sticking as a Service Technician and that's fine by us, but if you want to progress, we'll support you every step of the way.

You will be given exposure to work which will develop your skills and experience to allow you to progress your career further.

Training - a dedicated high level training programme to reinforce the skills you already have and an opportunity to gain a qualification in another trade

You don't have to come from a bus background (but we wouldn't be put off if you did either), but you will need to have a working knowledge of motor vehicles, be it your own car, motorbike or even farm equipment - if it moves, it's good experience for working on buses
