1Life Wyboston - Health & Fitness Club is recruiting for a full time Head Receptionist to work on and manage our busy reception.
Your primary objectives and responsibilities would be:
Primary Objectives:
- To ensure the provision of a proficient secretarial and administrative support service to the Contract Manager/Heads of Departments.
- To demonstrate leadership in the efficient daytoday running of Reception.
- To ensure the Reception team provides excellent customer care to all users of the facility and works cohesively with the Sales Department.
Head Receptionist will focus day to day on the following tasks:
- To ensure that the objectives of the contract are achieved and the appropriate financial systems and procedures are implemented including banking, bookings, till systems and managing memberships.
- To ensure all staff are kept informed of the Clubs activities and special events.
- To ensure department meetings are conducted on a regular basis to drive service standards and continuous improvement within the centre.
- To maintain all department stock / consumable levels (including stationary, retail, catering and vending) arranging for replenishment through external suppliers when appropriate.
- To maintain accurate staff personnel records, including recruitment correspondence, terms and conditions, training and induction, holiday and sickness records, new starters processes etc.
- To resolve employee queries regarding wages, holidays and terms and conditions of employment.
- To ensure the Front of House Area and Club entrance is clean, tidy and a pleasant environment in which to work.
- To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required by the Centre Manager / Contract Manager.
THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications and skills
- A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification/ Emergency Response/ First Aid at Work/ Pool plant operators qualifications are desirable

- Must be able to use Microsoft Excel / Word / Office & Google Sheets / Docs / Drive to an intermediate level.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
- Must be able to build business relationships and gain acceptance / respect with customers, clients and employees and teams involved.
- Must be able to communicate at different levels of the organisation.
- Must be able to demonstrate clear identification with all customer requirements.
