Process Engineering Manager, Oldbury, £40k
Excellent opportunity to join a proven, successful, and well-established manufacturing company. They produce a wide variety of metal pressed components and assemblies and are looking to expand their team.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for organsing your Engineering Team, to ensure the processes and equipment within the business run efficiently and at quoted production rates.


Duties:

*Manage and support new process and products that are introduced into the business.
*Improve existing processes through the use of Data Capture and engineering knowledge.
*Support production in solving Problems / Breakdowns in a Professional manner to ensure production is back up and running as soon as possible.
*Be responsible for the upkeep of the machines in your areas and reporting any issues to the Engineering Director as soon as they occur.
*Ensure all job requests are completed on time that are allocated to your team.
*Look at continual Layout Improvements around the business and support the introduction and on-going improvements already taking place.
*Improve OEE rates on existing processes and carry out improvements.
*Help bring in new processes into the business from the proposal stage to full integration.
*Provide the new project department with support for the introduction of new business, including ensuring that you support the project system that the program need dates are achieved.
*Support the quality department in solving customer issues and open 8D's.
*Attend the two weekly process and tooling meeting and champion the issues around processes, rework and scrap.
*Create timing and action plans and manage these so the end dates are achieved.
*Undertake the training of any apprentice / improver that is put in your care.
*Ensure that any Health and Safety hazards are identified and reported and that you adhere strictly to the company's Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies and procedures, and that all those in your department also do so.
*Carry out any tasks within the scope and abilities of the above. The engineering Director may provide these verbally or in writing, such as expectations or improvement requests.


Key Issues:

*To support production in its weekly goals.
*To support the new projects team with the introduction of new work into the business.
*To look at the OEE on existing processes within the business and carry out improvements.
*To help the quality department in solving quality issues.
*To be team player and be able to communicate on all levels

Qualifications
*Lean Manufacturing.
*Knowledge of Robot Welding.
*Knowledge of Press work.

Competitive Salary + Pension Scheme

Hours 39hr per week 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am-12.30pm Friday.
