In this exciting role you will proactively identify areas of the business that would benefit most from an assurance review.

You will then manage, create and review key assurance control activities leading a team of specialists to facilitate rapid detection and resolution of anomalies.

The vibrant team you will be working in sits within Finance, but necessitates cross-functional working throughout the business to ensure that we have adequate controls to minimise revenue leakage, reduce cost overpayment, and improve margin.


The Revenue Assurance team aims provide to have high quality, automated controls over all Three UK's revenues and costs of sale.

Through conversing with the wider business you will gain an understanding of how other teams and functions operate, respecting their issues and priorities, to understand current state, agree desired future state, define activities needed and ensure that commitments are met.

This role provides the opportunity to explore many different areas of the business which you would not necessarily get to see in other roles.

Through identification of revenue leakage and excess costs, work to maximise Three UK's margins without impacting on customer satisfaction and ensuring regulatory requirements are adhered to.


  • Assurance Tools: We are constantly looking to improve our control framework, so gaps are identified before they become significant issues. To do this we work with, and hold to account, our delivery teams and partners to make sure they deliver our requirements and meet assurance best practices.
  • Lines of Defense: work as a 2nd LoD to the business providing the framework and review necessary to run effective controls. Ensure these controls are kept are to the date, relevant and effective with the latest changes in the business.
  • Controls Assessments: Leading a small team of specialists, utilising their relevant knowledge and skillsets, to assess and target revenue/cost streams throughout the business on the controls they have in place to prevent leakage.
  • Leakage Leads: The business will come to us to ask us to investigate high profile perceived issues either directly or through service management. This role will act as the primary liaison with those stakeholders.
  • Business Change Process: Acting as a Assurance Subject Matter Expert on / initiatives identifying any leakage concerns and informing the business of the risk levels.
  • Stakeholder engagement: One of the key elements of the Assurance team is to build good working relationships with our stakeholders and ensure they understand the importance of relevant checks and balances.
  • Audit: Liaising with internal and external auditors regarding the business' controls for leakage protection.
  • Technical translation: Translating technical requirements into business language so that the business can understand where leakage risks may arise.
  • Development: constantly looking to develop skillsets to help drive the team forward.
  • Risk: Assess the risk level of leakages in the context of the wider business. Creating these risks and recommended mitigations in the way the business can understand.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Assurance knowledge with at least 5 year's experience
  • Proven experience in dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Inquisitive and Analytical mind. Able to ask the right questions.
  • Good understanding of audit principles, data analysis and risk management
  • Able to translate technical details into a language non technical people understand
