Our client, a trusted specialist, who provide to domestic households, housing associations and small businesses in the South East, are currently looking to recruit a
2x Trainee Utilities Engineersto join their growing business in
Redhill.

As a
Trainee Utilities Engineer, you will learn how to repair, maintain and replace water mains.

This client will provide extensive, in-depth training and mentoring and the opportunity to gain a Streetworks qualification and attend our Repairand Maintenance Bootcamp to further develop your R&M skills and knowledge.

As well as offering fantastic training opportunities, this client is invested in growing their trainees to become fully qualified Network Fitters which opens the doors to bigger salariesand further growth, therefore, this is an ideal opportunity to develop a rewarding career in the utilities sector.


The role will be working Monday to Friday day shifts, however, you will also work on a standby rota (one in four weeks) of which will be to cover out-of-hours work (evenings and weekends). Offering a basic salary of £21,300, this role also offersstandby allowance and overtime at approx. £14,000 average per year.


The successful applicants will deal with all sizes of pipes, mains and apparatus, undertake a range of manual activities such as digging, lifting and using hand tools and once trained, you will take part in a standby rota for one week in four to cover anyemergency repair activities.


Lastly


Although no experience is required for this entry-level role, to be considered as a Trainee Utilities Operative, you will need to enjoy working as part of a team that is outside in all weathers and have the drive to learn and develop new skills.

You willneed to have the stamina to work in this sector, as the role requires heavy lifting and day to day labour.


You will hold a full, valid driving licence (or have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of commencing the role).
