We are recruiting for a Site Agent to join us here at Octavius.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

  • You'll be working on. (what your role and responsibility is)
  • To be a working Manager ensuring the team work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product and service.
  • Delivering the project works from start to finish and carrying out safety and quality audits.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • To promote and protect the Octavius Infrastructure reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with company policies and values.
  • To lead by example by engendering a collaborative culture throughout the site team, including suppliers and customers, ensuring that everyone works towards our common vision of a vibrant delivery mechanism that delivers on promises, chosen by customers and has safety at its core.
  • Be responsible for safety first culture onsite.

A team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as Network Rail and TfL info.

  • Highly organised, with excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising on safety, standards and quality.

  • Safety first mindset, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks including those associated with working within the railway environment.
  • Technically savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Problem solver with the ability to both challenge designs and produce/explain accurate plans and drawings.
You'll bring(your wealth of experience & qualifications)


Essential:

  • Experience in the operational delivery of a construction project, and awareness of current techniques.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management.
  • Programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
  • Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering.
  • Proven experience of delivering projects valued between £1m and £10m.
  • Leadership experience, running a team of up to 10 direct reports assisting their allround development.
  • Working knowledge of the Construction (Design) and Management 2015 regulations, highways and/or rail standards and other relevant industry regulation.
  • A related degree, diploma, or vocational qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience in Construction or Civil Engineering.
  • Site Managers Safety Training Scheme, or equivalent CDM 2015 training.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Certification
  • IOSH Managing Safely and/or SMSTS

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 Software or Microsoft Projects
  • Chartered membership with a relevant industry body
  • Personal Track Safety / Highways Passport
  • Temporary Works Coordination
  • Eng MICE, or Equivalent
  • CRE Capabilities
