Assistant Accountant

  • Antrim
- £30,000 per annum

Reed Recruitment is excited to be working in partnership with a local distribution company based in Antrim.

Due to expansion our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Monthly management accounts
  • P& L Reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Quarterly reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts
  • VAT returns
  • HRMC enquiries
  • Accurate Financial information and reports, including departmental requests on spend
  • HMRC Intrastat returns
  • General accounting duties to include credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger and banking
  • Liaising with HR Department
  • Audit Preparation

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 years' experience within a Finance Department
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Detail orientated, highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Very focused and diligent, high level of attention to detail
Desirable Criteria

  • Part Qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician
