Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with this fantastic Housing Association who are seeking a Senior Rent and Service Charge Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

My client is seeking an experienced manager to hit the ground runningin this role, leading a successful smallteam, ad driving efficiencies.


The main responsibilities of the Rent and Service Charge Accountant role include:

  • Oversee the service charge budget calculation and reconciliation as well as ensuring the accurate calculation and distribution of all service charges going forward.
  • Manage a junior rent and service charge officer, providing continuous training and support for the department to reach their full potential and deliver excellent service.
  • Identify and implement process improvements throughout the rent and service charge function to improve efficiencies and performance.
  • Take ownership of all relevant audit queries, providing all evidence schedules where required.
  • Ensure the team provide excellent customer service in relation to all incoming tenants queries and complaints.
  • Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders in relation to all service charge and rent related matters.

  • At least part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Experienced in setting service charge budgets.
  • A confident selfstarter with a proven track record in managing and motivating teams.
  • An intermediate user of Excel.
