Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About The Role
Could you manage a portfolio of high value Corporate, Trust, Philanthropy and Institutional grants and support British Red Cross work in the UK and Internationally?
You will also provide advice/support on grant terms and conditions, and on projects to service/programme managers within services, Operations colleagues, external organisations where they may be a project partner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, as well reporting and financial management skills.
- Grant management experience gained from some of the following funders
- UK government, Lottery Funds, European Commission and Trusts, foundations and corporate organisations.
- Proactive in your work, with the ability to make things happen on your own as well as with support from a great team and management.
- You will also be effective in coordinating setup of new grants, overseeing reporting to funders and monitoring/advising on compliance with grants
- Confident to offer technical advice on grant terms and conditions, along with being a point of contact to offer strategic advice on projects to service/programme managers within services, fundraising colleagues managing the overall funder relationships and external organisations where they may be project partners.
_The grant management team currently has 3 Grants Officers and 2 Senior Grants officer positions who are line managed by the Head of Grants Management and are based within the fundraising department of BRC. The team specifically supports the Partnerships and Philanthropy teams and works closely with other team in fundraising and corporate services such as the Legal, Information Governance and Procurement teams. The team is responsible for managing 55 grants worth over GBP 28 million._
