Milk Education is working in partnership with a diverse primary school, who celebrate the culturally diverse community through the delivery of outstanding provision for their children and families.

This school are looking to recruit a full time, highly skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 4 on a one to one basis with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs.

Start date:
ASAP January 2023

Working hours: 08:45-4:15am Monday - Friday

Daily rate - £75-85 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Travel - Easily accessible by many bus routes around the City/on site car park
To be considered for this SEND Teaching Assistant role you will need:

Recent experience in supporting children or young people with a range of SEND including SEMH
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
Excellent behaviour management skills with knowledge of a range of deescalation techniques
A positive, firm but fair manner and a calm approach

The role:

Assist the lead teacher in completing outcomes from one to one support and supporting child centred learning that captures the needs and interests of the pupil
To monitor and evaluate the pupils response to learning activities through observation
To establish productive working relationships with the pupil, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
To promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement and selfreliance
To promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflicts and incidents in line with the schools behaviour policy and encourage the pupil to take responsibility for their own behaviour
