Description


The main duties of the post holders would be:

  • In class support for learners, this would include note taking, prompting, assisting students with classroom tasks to access teaching, learning and assessment
  • Creating / adapting / using a range of resources and strategies to meet learners' needs including eresources, assistive technology and adapted equipment
  • Supervising learners on arrival at college, during lunchtimes and breaks and ensuring they leave the premises with due care as required
  • Supporting learners offsite in learning and travelling contexts e.g. trips, travel training, work placements
  • Keeping records of learner needs, progress and the achievement of learning targets
