This role entails
Are you someone who is passionate about programme making? Would you like the chance to research and help bring to air great stories for a range of titles made by ITV Cymru Wales? This opportunity will focus on research for our arts show 'Backstage', finding interesting up and coming artists from a wide variety of genres.
There will also be an opportunity to work across different titles, from 'Vanished Wales' to 'Welsh Lives' and much more.
We are looking for a multi-skilled researcher with an abundance of brilliant ideas, who will relish the opportunity of working with this award-winning team, to develop your own skills in this area.
You will be responsible for working with producers, sourcing stories and contributors; as well as organising and aiding with filming and editing.
You will also be responsible for providing innovative digital content that brings different audiences to each of our programme brands.
Flexibility and organisation are essential, as is the willingness to travel. As such holding a full UK driving licence is preferable.To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the Minimum role criteria:
- An individual with proven programming or research experience.
- A keen interest in the Welsh arts scene.
- An excellent understanding of the elements required to put together a good story for television.
- Filming and Avid editing experience preferable although not essential.
- Great organisational skills and attention to detail
- An innovative approach to creating great online content
The Key role criteria is as follows:
- Demonstrable experience of being able to research to firm deadlines
- A determined and motivated individual with the ability to work with others to overcome obstacles in order to achieve a shared goal
- A proven enthusiasm for the arts scene in Wales.
- An ability to establish a good rapport with contributors and the public.
- Be proactive about diversity, ensuring you reflect stories from across all the communities of Wales.
- An understanding of different social media platforms and how to build followers.
- An ability to work within particular guidelines such as ITV's compliance, health and safety and environmental responsibility guidelines
