Position:
Sewing Machinist

Day shift:
£29,000 - Depending on experience.

Location:
Southend-On-Sea

Hours: 39 hours per week - 08:00am - 17:00pm - Early finish on Friday
Proactive are currently recruiting for a skilled Sewing Machinist in Southend-on-Sea to start work immediately.

This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high performance aerospace equipment.

You will be working as part of a wider team delivering projects to meet production targets.

Responsibilities:

Overlocking of cut parts as per the requirements.
Sewing of parts into complete items referencing drawings, templates, work instructions and/or samples.
Carrying out reworks deemed necessary by inspection team.
Keep the sewing machine in a clean and regularly oiled condition and report any faults to a supervisor.
Carrying out requirements in a proper and efficient manner.
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
Supporting team members with other tasks as and when necessary.
Maintaining a safe working environment and adhere to the published Health and Safety protocols.

Experience

Experienced user of industrial sewing machines
Experience overlocking
Experience of sewing a variety of items
To work as part of a team or independently
Ability to work to production targets.
