About Our Client:
A fantastic opportunity for a
Junior Buyer to join a growing ecommerce retailer in the Leeds area.
This award-winning stylish business has seen growth over the past 3 years and is looking to grow its buying & merchandising teams.
- Creating range plans for all new launches negotiating costs, lead times and
- Working alongside Compliance & QC teams to ensure all necessary testing is completed before ordering
- Ensuring the design team are hitting target dates for samples and sign off (with the
- Critical Path Management
- You will be responsible for ensuring all new projects are running on time and you will be in charge of managing the critical path, up to ordering
- Managing multiple supplier relationships to ensure we're negotiating the best possible costs, delivery times and MOQs we have a variety of suppliers from across the world
- Working across our merchandising and marketing teams to ensure all new products have relevant packaging requirements
- Assist in production supplier analysis/ reviews and make recommendations on Sourcing, Range Planning etc.
- Working alongside our design, merchandising and marketing teams to ensure we're offering a market leading range
- Analysing trends and sales forecasts weekly/ monthly and year on year to assist in effective range planning
- Proactively reviewing sales and margin to ensure current ranges are performing to target and make recommendations where necessary
- Conducting competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and potential issues for the ranges coming up with recommendations to drive sales
- Supporting the Design Team
- Undertaking your work with energy, enthusiasm and passion
- Being willing to learn and staying curious
- Bringing your insights to them and instigating discussions
- Working with the Senior Merchandiser on your workload to establish the correct priorities
- Working alongside the Merchandising Team
- Support the product assistant with managing the critical path and launch of new
- Assist with producing range analysis to continually improve KPIS
- Work is accurate, and attention to detail is being observed. You're rigorous and meticulous
- You are proactively contributing to the success of the team and the wider business
- Accurately creating and maintaining range plans for new products
The Successful Applicant:
- Commercial awareness understands the market and consumer behaviour
- Experience working within a retailer, ideally within eCommerce, and preferably a
- Awareness of main competitors and their activity and understanding their impact on
- Full knowledge of the product life cycle
- Experience of working with multiple suppliers is essential
- Must have experience with supplier negotiation
- Can do attitude to support the team and wider business
- How to organise yourself and your time to be efficient
- Good working knowledge of excel
- A keen interest in interiors, fashion and/or design
