The Role
Working within a developing and growing tree works department, operating throughout Kent and beyond to provide specialised general tree maintenance and inspections, to meet contract specification and customer satisfaction.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of one years' experience of arboriculture with a passion to work in this field and a head for heights.
A proactive and positive, professional attitude is essential, as well as an ability to work well under pressure, a good understanding of Health & Safety and a flexible approach to change.
Key Duties
Undertaking all routine and specialised general tree maintenance including but not limited to pruning, hedge cutting, removal of trees etc.
Assisting the Arboriculture Team Leader in completing works and projects to meet contract specification and customer satisfaction.
This will involve working on contracts to achieve quality against time constraints with a need to be flexible and innovative.
Assisting the Team Leader in maintaining to manufacturers specified recommendations, machinery and equipment. Always ensuring safe and correct use of equipment.Maintaining a clean and professional working practice on site. Ensure safe working practices are always maintained. Identifying risks and unsafe practices to minimise potential for injury/accident and reporting any incidents/near misses.
Responding and supporting inclement weather works, such as works following high winds, as required
Liaising with customers on a daily basis and resolving any concerns, difficulties or issues. Reporting problems and actioning instructions as required. Ensuring Landscape Services is represented professionally and in accordance with good customer care.

- Noisy working environment (above 80db)
- Repetitive limb movements
- Working with machinery (including reports of vibration hazards)
- Working with chemicals (Inc. requirement to wear latex gloves and Inc. work with CO2 or N2 gasses)
- Potential exposure to asbestos or other dusts
- Working at height
- Prolonged physical/manual work/manual handling (Inc. human beings)
- Exposure to animals
- Vocational driving on
- Prolonged weather hazard exposure wind/rain/snow/pollen/UV/sun
- Working in isolation
