Description

Managing a collaborative team of five, the post holder will develop a strategic vision for participation and performance in sport across the Academy from KS3 to KS5.

Applicants should be able to start in September 2023 or sooner and be willing to involve themselves in the wider life of the Academy.

About the Department
The PE provision is unique, challenging and fun.

Our ambitious and broad KS3 curriculum is built upon with an extensive core programme for our upper school which complements our GCSE PE and Cambridge Nationals.

We are also proud to teach A level.

We have one specialist sport Academy delivered through Greenhouse Charity for Basketball and these are accessed through all years and benefit from our own Sports Coach.

We have an extensive extra-curricular programme through Self-Directed Learning and we compete in a huge range of sports at District, County and National levels.

A commitment to fixtures is very important, as we have built a strong sporting reputation.

We support students who have particular aptitudes to sports outside of school and will always do all we can to support their endeavours.

In our relatively short history, we have had a number of national and international level athletes performing in competitions across the world, all of whom we are incredibly proud of.

We are a dynamic, friendly, adaptable and open minded team which supports and drives each other towards excellence.
