Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for leading the production of market reporting, testing and validating the QMA returns from syndicates and preparing the Pro Forma Financial Statements.

Main Responsibilities
Ensuring the business meets its financial reporting obligations in the UK with regards to to market results, including:

Production of Financial Statements
Review of the Lloyd's syndicates returns
Overseeing the interaction with external auditors
Analyse market results, including key performance indicators, for presentation to the Executive Team
Production and review of financial information for key external stakeholders
Driving the implementation of changes to the financial reporting framework

Ensuring the business meets its regulatory reporting obligations in the UK with regards to managing agents and members, including:

Reviewing quarterly and annual solvency submissions from Agencies and assessing compliance with solvency requirements for reporting to the PRA & FCA.
Assist in completion of the quarterly monitoring returns
Production of financial information on an annual basis

Skills & Experience

Qualified accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 1 years postqualification experience
Strong understanding of general UK GAAP financial reporting requirements
Knowledge of Lloyd's syndicate UK regulatory reporting requirements
General knowledge of the Lloyd's Market is preferred, although not essential
Consolidated financial reporting processes experience
Working under tight time lines to produce high quality financial reporting
Insurance accounting and Lloyd's syndicate accounting is preferred, although not essential to the role
