Location:
Birmingham city centre


Salary:
£45k - £52k

Hybrid Working -with travel, based on project priorities and team support


CX Squared have partnered with a PropTech firm whose core values underpin the reasons why they can retain, engage and attract their talent internally and have built a reputable name in the technology solutions scene.


Due to winning new projects and clients and some exciting investment, 2023 plans to be a year of growth and expansion starting with some new additions to their infrastructure team.


This role will not be for someone who wants to work in a traditional infrastructure environment, but someone who enjoys learning, working on new technologies and is keen to solve systems and errors that are unique and varied every week.


If you have experience with AMX or similar audio and AV technology and hardware solutions then this could be up your street.

Due to the nature of the infrastructure systems and solutions you are building in the property space, you could even come from aHVAC background.


The company have a test lab and full-stocked production room in their site and therefore you will ensure that these solutions are built from scratch and that all systems are correct and engineered to the companies high standards.


When the project and system is built, you will help teach the client on how the solutions work and provide them with the right level of customer service as is expected from the values of the business.


Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

  • Plan and execute the provision / deprovision of servers
  • Manage project changes and migrations when deploying new upgrades
  • Create documentation on installations and document resolutions to support tickets
  • Manage client relationships and support to drive the customer experience
  • Lead IT Support reviews which are done 3 monthly
  • Create reports on client infrastructure
  • Share knowledge and support the rest of the IT Team on infrastructure maintenance and implementation for new and existing clients
  • Manage the internal infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring that security is the highest level within the infrastructure team
  • Testing connectivity, remote access, monitoring and management for fielddeployed infrastructure and devices

Essential Skills include:

  • Solid experience of working as a pure infrastructure engineer
  • Experience working with servers in a virtual environment
  • Experience of user authentication and and Single Signon (SSO)
  • Experienced trouble shooter when dealing with networking and server technologies
  • Experience of working with different vendors including HP, Cisco, VMWare, Dell, Meraki
  • Experience of cloud platforms we are open to this, so could be AWS, Azure, Google
  • Linux knowledge would be highly advantageous
  • If you have a background in CCTV or access control this would be desirable.


The role will be hybrid based with opportunities to fix issues remotely, but will require travel to client sites around Birmingham and London but could be UK wide, so you must be comfortable with this.
