Our client is a reputable company based in Banbury. They are a family run business who manufacture flexible braid wire products which are used throughout the electrical industry.
They are now looking to acquire the services of a Finance Assistant to work within their Finance team for 9-months to cover a maternity leave.
This is great opportunity for someone who has experience working within a finance department and is looking to utilize their skills for a period of time.
Please note:
this is a fixed term contract which will last 9-months. It is a full-time position working 34.5 hours a week.

Main Responsibilities
- Dealing with all elements of accounts, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Completing of bank reconciliations, inputting of bank receipts and payments on the finance system, alongside any other banking duties.
- Reconciling petty cash and sort postings on the finance system.
- Responsibility for ensuring receipts for company credit card payments are submitted, reconciled and posted on the finance system.
- Processing employees' expense and mileage claims.
- Entering purchase invoices, setting up supplier accounts and reconciling supplier statements.
- Processing supplier payment run and ad hoc payments.
- Processing sales invoices, setting up new credit accounts and completing credit checks.
- Processing weekly payroll for factory workers including statutory sick pay, statutory maternity pay and statutory paternity pay.
- Processing P6's, P45's and P46's.
- Issuing employment contracts.
- Assisting our Accountant with payroll month end and pension scheme payments.
- Monthly KPI Reports and drivers checks.
- VAT checks including C79 reconciliation.
- Digital filing of receipts, purchase invoices and any other finance documents.
Key Skills
- Experience working in company finance.
- Good attention to detail.
- Prepared to be flexible with your role.
- Good IT Skills, especially in Excel.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Able to manage own workload.
