  • Role Purpose:
The role supports the Operational Risk team.

The role holder will be expected to work closely with the Project Manager to support data transformation within Op Risk to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and to contribute to functional and UAT testing.

The rolewill also involve data analysis and data mappings tasks.

Initial training will be provided however the role holder will need to work independently without close supervision and will be expected to exercise initiative and judgement while following the projectlifecycle process.

The role will involve exposure to senior business managers and a variety of other stakeholders.
Key Responsible
Driving the adoption of the HSBC Ways of Operating and the transition from a project to a product mindset with VS stakeholders
To ensure strong and effective operational control whilst supporting a delivery agenda
Consideration of multiple functional delivery teams operating across multiple geographies
Challenging ways of working which do not conform to the highest operational standards Knowledge and Experience:
Hands on and deep experience working with Google Data Products (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, AI Building Blocks, Looker, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataprep, etc.)
Experience in Spark (Scala/Python/Java) and Kafka
Experience in MDM, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Data Lineage tools
E2E Data Engineering and Lifecycle (including non-functional requirements and operations) management
Regulatory and Compliance work in Data Management
E2E Solution Design skills - Prototyping, Usability testing and data visualization literacy
Experience with SQL and NoSQL modern data stores
Strong communication skills, being able to articulate complex requirements in simple terms to a varied audience
The below skills will be a plus but are not mandatory
Previous work on finance projects
