About the School:

Based in Barnsley, the "outstanding" Ofsted rated school caters to children who have Severe and Complex needs.

The setting educates children from the age of who experience barriers to learning such as communication and interaction difficulties and complex physical and/or medical conditions.

Each member of staff is fully committed to creating the best environment possible for all of their students.


About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, your role is to support young people through day to day activities in school. Supporting them to engage in learning and overcome barriers, engage in sensory play and activities and build relationships. this role has the potential to be extremely rewarding.

Initially you will work on a temporary basis, however in the future their may be the possibility for this to become permanant.


What We Need from You:


As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students.

Whether you are an experienced teaching assistant or have a background in care or another related field, you will bring forward your transferable skills to provide the best possible care and support for the young people you are working with.


It is desired that applicants have extra qualifications such as Moving and Handling or Team Teach or are willing to take part in these additional training courses.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
