Meridian are currently looking for housekeepers to work on the new temporary Hopewell ward at Ilkeston Community Hospital Derbyshire (DE7 8LN).


We need housekeepers who can work as an integral part of a ward team and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services over seven days in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe, comfortable environment.


The hours required to work are 08:30 -14:00 and 13:00 - 19:00 across 7 days a week, starting as soon as possible.


The position requires you to:


  • Maintain the care environment with a high standard of cleaning using specialist equipment
  • Prepare beds and ensure the ward is clear at all times
  • Assist the ward team to meet nutritional needs of patients by ordering meals and maintaining food provisions. As well as prepare and serve food meeting dietary requirements of patients.
  • Maintain the supply of ward linen and patients personal clothing
  • Maintain Ward supplies of toiletries such as soaps, towels, toilet rolls
  • Be a friendly face on the ward and provide the best possible care to patients and maintain their privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
