What is the role?


Are you looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has become available for you to develop a career in NHS finance and study for the AAT qualification at Level 3.

There is the potential to extend for a further 18 months to complete the Level 4 (Higher) apprenticeship, pending successful completion of both Level 3 (Advanced) and meeting the workbase expectations.

During the first 18 months, you will be rotating around the Finance department, working with a range of teams across all finance functions including financial accounts, management accounts, costing and contracting.

Who are we looking for?

If you've been thinking about University and it's not for you, following the Apprenticeship pathway with NHS Finance could take you to fully-qualified status in just a few years

Eligibility and entry requirements


Applicants need to hold a minimum of 3 GCSE grades A*to C (9 to 4) including Maths and English (or equivalent level 2).

HUTH has two main sites:
Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £700 million.

The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.


The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services.

These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.


HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
