Are you an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor looking for your next role in Hackney, North-East London?


Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a resilient Behaviour Mentor to join this Alternative Provision in Hackney, North-East London for a long-term position in January 2023.

This is a full time, long-term role for the rest of the academic year andpossibly beyond, paying between £80.00 and £95.00 per day on PAYE.


As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working in small groups in the classroom of up to 7 pupils in KS3 who have been diagnosed with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and additional SEND including Autism and ADHD.

You will support in the classroomand outside of the classroom and you will be required to keep them focused, engaged, motivated and have a positive, energetic attitude.

You will need to be a caring and compassionate individual who has a passion for supporting young people with mental healthdifficulties and/or mild SEN and be resilient enough to manage any behavioural challenges.


This Hackney school aims to equip their learns with the skills to be successful and help them to overcome their barriers to learning, which may be about improving their behaviour or some other aspects of their learning.

They have recently moved to a newpurpose-built campus which offers first class facilities and the opportunity for professional development.


Located by Old Street and Shoreditch Stations, this school is easily accessible via Northern Lines, Thameslink trains the Overground and several popular bus routes.

Essential Requirements:


  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs.
  • Previous support work, TA or LSA work within aSecondary School or other related experience.
  • A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK.
