- Full time, permanent contract, working 5 days a week flexibly across the hours of the service which runs from Monday-Saturday

- Based at Matthew Ryder Clinic, but must be prepared for business travel within West Lancashire (full UK driving licence essential)
The postholder would be responsible for contributing to the coordination of staff; appointments and service delivery across West Lancashire.
We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of GP Practice, equipped with effective organisation skills; experience of EMIS or similar Primary Care systems and wanting to work within a positive proactive team.

Job descriptionJob responsibilities
- To undertake service coordination for the OWLS contracted Access Services to ensure high quality of provision across multiple sites both within and out of hours
- Participate in the onboarding and induction of new staff
- Liaise with locum agencies
- Coordinate staffing through rota management
- Communicate to staff information on rotas and available / short notice gaps
- To be responsible for the management of all referrals within the Access Serviceswithin 48 hours post clinics
- Conduct audits of referrals and tasks generated by clinics with robust checks and escalation of any delays breakdown in processes
- Support the coordination of the supplies and the stock systems at each site
- Coordinate the clinical audits with the nominated lead GP
- Site audits of environment to include health & safety checks and the assurance of infection control
- Provide data reports for the OWLS Clinical Governance Committee including patient surveys at request from your manager or for other meetings or requirements
- Ensure any incidents and complaints are managed in accordance with the OWLS Policies and Procedures
- Attend meetings with the Access staff/teams which may be scheduled out of hours
- Ensure all alerts and significant communications are shared and cascaded within the Access Service Teams
- To provide coordination and support to the multiple sites and members of staff who operate at a weekend and evenings within the Access Service and have close liaison with the weekend supervisors
- Troubleshoot in times of need to ensure service provision is continual and be the first point of contact for staff members that require support within hours (Monday-Saturday) and as part of an oncall rota
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures to ensure we deliver robust and effective processes to contribute to the provision of a highquality service.
- Contribute to service financial and contract standards
- Participate in the oncall rota with team members alongside management.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Good standard of General Education to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience

- Experience of working within Primary Care/GP Practice settings
- Excellent Administrative, organisational and communication skills

- Good standard of IT skills/proficiency in MS office suite of products
- Experience of contributing to service changes and improvement
- Evidence of implementing or contributing to new service development and delivery
