Role Summary/Purpose:
As an Inspector in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for the fault finding and work scope reporting customer returned units.
While the core responsibilities will be inspection and report, this will also extend to light repairs as part of the Minor repair line with the department.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Laying out components in a methodical manor and inspecting to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
- Raising all the relevant paperwork to complete the task.
- Ensuring traceability is maintained throughout the process.
- Strip down and repair of the propeller components.
- Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
Additional responsibilities:
- Minor blade repairs.
- Hand salvage.
- Bearing reset.
- Product disassembly.
- Flexibility in Gate 0 and 1.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- They will need to demonstrate that they are able to utilise detailed manuals, drawings & other documentation to aid this requirement.
- Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
- Must be PC literate and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
