Advert - Drayton Park Women's Crisis House - A trauma informed model of service.

At Drayton Park we provide trauma informed response to women in acute crisis.


Drayton Park Women's Crisis House and Resource Centre is a unique service that offers women in acute mental health crisis, a residential alternative to acute psychiatric wards.

The service has been operating for over 25 years with the support and expert input from women who use mental health services.

The service is staffed by awomen onlyteam. 12 women and up to four children can be accommodated at any one time.

Team members are expected to be highly motivated to provide a service which acknowledges and validates women's life experiences and at the same time have the necessary crisis skills to provide short term crisis interventions.

We are looking for women to join our team and have posts at Band 4 (Assistant Practitioners) and Band 3 (Clinical Support Workers )

Applicants would also need to demonstrate an ability to contain and support women in mental health crisis within a residential service and model the ethos of a trauma informed environment within their practise.


You would be expected to have excellent and compassionate communication skills ,ability to safety plan and a range of therapeutic interventions to offer women.

The band 4 post you would be required to coordinate shifts at night once orientated and take on lead areas within your role.

Band - Named working a small group of women in crisis, and working with them throughout their stay.

Your verbal, written and IT skill are expected to be of a very high standard.


All post holders will be given induction, training and supervision to ensure their past experience and skill set adapts to this very specific trauma informed model.
