Description
An opportunity has arisen to help shape the Pharmacy admissions service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to become part of a team of pharmacists and technicians providing extended hours pharmacy services to the Trust's admissions units.

The team is responsible for providing cover to the elderly, medical and surgical admissions units up to 10 hours per day, seven days per week, ensuring medicines reconciliation takes place as soon as possible after the decision to admit is taken.

In addition to this the team ensures timely provision of medication to ensure treatment can start as soon as possible and to speed up the discharge process.

Working in the team you will have a key role in facilitating the discharge process and have the opportunity to work predominantly in the ward environment.

The role will involve working on average 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis between 8 am and 6 pm seven days per week, which may make the role attractive to those wishing to work longer daily hours over fewer days.

This role is critical to assist the efficient flow of patients, high rates of medicines reconciliation and to maintain a high standard in seven day clinical pharmacy services.
