We provide our clients with a complete design and consultancy service developing solutions from feasibility through to detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve working within an experienced survey team, on a variety of sites throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK, utilising RTK GNSS, Total Stations & Laser Scanning equipment.

Due to the nature of the work, a flexible approach to working hours is essential, as is a willingness to stay away when necessary.

Responsibilities will include:

Carry out land surveyor duties
Support the management of day to day operations of the survey team
Ensure high quality site and drawing deliverables
Liaising with Survey Principal and working with IKM engineering team to support multi disciplinary projects
Prepare fee proposals and manage small survey projects.
More than 5 years' experience of surveying: topographic surveys, measured building surveys, bathymetric or river surveys, laser scanning
PNSS PPK post processing experience
A strong knowledge of the latest survey technology including: Robotic Total Stations & GPS Receivers (Trimble/Leica), AutoCAD experience, LSS (preferred but not essential)
Processing Survey data and issuing drawings/reports
Experience of preparing method statements and risk assessments, and checking those prepared by others.
A survey related qualification to HND/Degree level
Competent working alone and in teams
A flexible approach to working and a willingness to stay away from home when necessary
Driving licence
An enthusiasm to Professional Development opportunities for Drone or Utility Surveying exist.
