Key Responsibilities To assist in providing an effective fit for purpose supplies service to The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust that delivers in a timely manner the appropriate goods required and to assist in the implementation of materials management practices where appropriate.

To assist in promoting the importance of effective and efficient purchasing practices across the organisation.

Tasks will contain some degree of customer liaison and must be carried out in compliance with appropriate Trust and Departmental practices, procedures and quality standards.


Duties will include:

Visiting Wards and Departments on all Hospital sites to top up stock items, rotate stock to minimise waste and put away stock deliveries.


Report any out of date or obsolete stock items and highlighting suitable alternative products for purchase, Processing of requisitions to NHSSC and associated filing Telephone enquiries, dealing with customer/supplier queries in an effective, efficient, polite and customer friendly manner.

Liaise and develop appropriate relationships with internal and external personnel on supplies/stock management rationalisation, product standardisation and delivery related issues.
