Impression Recruitment are excited to be working with a brand new Halifax based family business who are a specialist in their industry and have been operating on a global basis for over 50 years.

The company are now in their search for a

Payroll Officer join their small team. You will play a key role in ensuring that the payroll process is as streamline as possible, and work closely with the Payroll Manager to complete all payroll requirements for the business on a daily basis. If you have prior end to end payroll experience and you are looking for a new opportunity to join a family orientated team, as well as a company that rewards hard work, this may be the role for you.


As the successful Payroll Officer your duties will include:

  • Full end to end payroll process for 450 weekly and monthly paid employees across multiple businesses
  • Implementing new payroll procedures to ensure a streamlined and efficient process
  • Preparing and calculating BACS payments when required
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations to protect data at all times
  • Providing accurate and timely support to the business while ensuring a high level of service is maintained
  • Assisting Group HR Admin / Payroll Manager with day to day duties
  • Calculating the amounts due to HMRC and preparing payments in relation to deductions
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Skills required:


  • Prior exposure to processing end to end payroll
  • Confident in the use of Sage Line 50 (Advantageous)
  • A proactive nature
  • A team player
  • The ability to take control of your own workload
As the successful

Payroll Officer you will be offered a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum, as well as the opportunity to join an industry leading company, and play a key role in the HR/finance department. Working hours would be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (these hours can be flexible depending on your needs and the needs of the business).
