Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are now recruiting into salaried trainee CBT positions.


We would like to recruit Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist/High Intensity Therapist into salaried 1-year trainee positions, with the offer of future employment in one of our services upon successful completion of the training.

We are looking for people with a commitment to scientific practice with a willingness to learn new skills and a desire to improve the health and wellbeing of people with common mental disorders.

Psychological therapies are talking therapies that can be used with people with anxiety disorders and depression. As part of a national IAPT (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) programme


Services are committed to supporting recovery for people with anxiety and depression-related problems, including people with long term physical health conditions such as diabetes and respiratory problems.


Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.


We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

The successful applicants will be be given the opportunity to state for which locality they would like to work, Bolton, Salford, Trafford, Manchester and Wigan.

Successful completion of the training programme will result in a post-graduate qualification (level 7) and will enable you to work as a HIT within a Talking Therapies service with your own caseload.
