We have an opportunity for an
Yard Operative in Our Aggregate Bagging Plant to join our team in
Huddersfield on a
full time, permanent basis.


Myers Building & Timber Supplies has 16 branches throughout Yorkshire and is part of the family-owned Myers Group. The successful Yard Operative will receive a competitive rate of pay (£10.27 Rate 1 and £13.66 Rate 2) plus fantastic benefits including;

Working Hours:


  • 7am to Monday to Friday
  • Saturday Mornings As Required
  • Rate 2 is Trigged after 45Hours and on Saturdays

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take direction from the Yard Supervisor on all matters relating to yard activities.
  • Bag up aggregates using the bulk bagger plant or small bagging plant.
  • Unloading and loading of vehicles.
  • Housekeeping.
- y other reasonable duties which may be required by the Company from time to time, as instructed by or under the direction of your line manager.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules.
  • Must be selfmotivated, with a 'Can Do' attitude.
  • Must possess excellent organisational skills and good time management.
  • Must be selfdriven, genuine with a positive attitude and clear focus.
  • Must be sufficiently mobile and flexible to work beyond the call of duty to achieve results.
  • Ability of operate mobile plant as required.
  • Have a suitable health and fitness level to conduct work appropriately.
