Our client, a well-established Financial Planning firm based in Coventry, is looking to recruit an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join their ever-growing team.

The position is available due to the expansion of the business as part of its ongoingsuccess as a firm.


As an Independent Financial Adviser, our client is offering the following:

  • Up to £55,000 basic
  • Bonus scheme for uncapped commission
  • Warm leads provided
  • Office based

Working hours:


  • Monday to Friday
  • 9 am 5 pm

Purpose of the role:

To competently provide financial advice, to clients within FCA rules and the firm's procedures.


To be considered for the Independent Financial Adviser, you must have the following:

  • A relevant approved qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of FCA and the firm's recordkeeping requirements.

The responsibilities of an Independent Financial Adviser are:

General:

  • Keep uptodate with new products and technical or legislative changes within the marketplace.
  • Comply at all times with the Compliance Training and Competence Procedures of the firm.
  • Comply at all times with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the FCA Principles, The Rules and the Conduct Rules.
  • To maintain a Statement of Professional Standing from an approved Accredited Body at all times.

Specific:

  • Identify and contact potential clients. Gather sufficient client information and identify client needs.
  • Analyse the information gathered and undertake sufficient research to make suitable recommendations.
- accurately complete all supporting documentation.

  • Attain and maintain competent status as defined by FCA and the firm.
  • Maintain performance standards by those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators section of the Training and Competence procedures.
  • Via selfassessment and feedback, identify Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs to maintain and enhance Competent status and undertake appropriate activity to meet those needs. A minimum of 35 hours per annum of CPD is required, 21 hours of whichmust fall into the definition of Structured CPD.
