Are you a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant with experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you thrive in a varied and fast-paced environment? Step Teachers are currently seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to join our prestigious education team in King's Lynn and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
