Description
This 18-month fixed term post, based primarily at County Hall, will be based within the IM&T department.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining eLearning, digital materials, guides and documents for the eHospital Programme that is delivering a first of type, mobile Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system in collaboration with Nervecentre.


The post holder will be working with the IM&T team and others including clinicians, technologists and operational colleagues across various projects, to assist in the delivery of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) solutions to enable a blended learning approach to courses.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative whilst working closely with the wider eHospital Team.


This role will require such tasks as creating interactive eLearning, video demonstrations & video editing, podcasts, screencasts, video casts, animations, etc.

for the various modules as they are developed, or updated, within our eHospital Programme along with any other training materials.

In addition you may be called upon to facilitate or train and lead online forums and Teams-based meetings supporting any training.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Clear communicator with excellent written, presentational and interpersonal skills
  • Take responsibility for escalating risks and issues and engaging with identified risk and/or issue owners initiating corrective, allocated action points for responsible projects
  • Build and nurture key relationships and networks with a varied range of audiences including both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure communication tools are used to their maximum value for circulating the project update reports, meeting agendas and meetings/presentations in the appropriate timescales
  • Able to work within a strategic context and communicate how activities meet both local and national strategic goals and training requirements.
Information Resources / Multimedia development

  • Be responsible for the designing, development and maintenance of educational material that is produced including eLearning, podcasts, screencasts, video casts and animations relevant to IM&T and the eHospital Programme.
  • To ensure synchronicity of all materials, across all formats, at all times.
  • To guide and manage a small team of trainer / developers.
  • To support and advise others, both internal and external stakeholders, on the use of technology to create educationally robust material.
  • The post holder will be expected to plan the work process, identify the appropriate method of technology and report progress to the Training Lead on a regular basis (frequency will vary).
  • To use available software to create Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) content incorporating (but not exclusive to) graphics, animations, video and sound.
  • Support and advice on the use of virtual classrooms to maximise remote learning.
