Lab Technician / Chemist

Witham - up to c£24k (plus shift allowance) depending on background and experience level.

Role Purpose

As a
Lab Technician / Chemist, you will perform routine testing of samples for elemental content in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures using classical and instrumental techniques within a fast-paced commercial laboratory environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Conducting analysis of samples within a laboratory environment
Organise and deliver work as assigned by area team leader/supervisor
Ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures
Process results and convey them to the QC team within a timely manner

You will benefit from a busy and varied environment, working with market leaders across a wide range of sectors including but not limited to: Agriculture & Food, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas and Marine Fuel.

With a network of laboratories, strategically located in key trading locations around the world, provide precision analytical testing to both internationally recognized standards and customer specific methodologies across the main industries.

What does it take to apply?

Experience required for the role is flexible - previous work in a laboratory environment would be beneficial, however roles that require a practical hands-on approach such as manufacturing or catering plus an interest in science and lab testing could beideal.
