Supply Chain Planner

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner / Coordinator for their Client a fast growing food wholesaler based in Dartford Kent.

In this role you will be reporting into the Purchasing Manager and will be fully accountable for the purchasing of products from Europe predominantly from France.

Previously held a role within supply chain for a minimum of 1-2 years, must be confident in building supplier relationships with their non UK suppliers.

A self-starter who is self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature.

With experience in supplier matrix management for long term pricing and supply analysis with excellent communication skills, strong team work ethic.

Knowledge of working with EU Hauliers would be an advantage as would working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement of mainly our clients European products including which includes Fresh fruit and Vegetables, Dairy and Meat
Forecast long term demand and availability across suppliers including seasonal availability and demand
Create supply agreements and order processes with suppliers outside the UK
Order goods using purchase orders and purchase requisitions
Review inventories and managing stock levels to fulfill orders
Review delivery paperwork against the orders upon arrival managing any nonsupplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
Research potential vendors, for new range opportunities and price comparisons
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliersnegotiating contract terms and pricing
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Review quality of purchased products
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices on the system
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Addressing all price variances/queries
Liaising with the goods in manager on booking in issues
Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
