We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Computing Lecturer to join our dedicated and friendly team.

As a Trainee Computing Lecturer, you will undertake a fully funded Teaching Qualification which will allow you to develop an up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies and know how to use and adopt them to provide opportunities for all learners to achieve their potential.


Responsibilities include:

  • To design and deliver a wide range of effective and inclusive teaching and learning activities
  • To assess the work and progress of all students and provide them with constructive and timely feedback
  • To seek ways of improving student performance by reflecting on teaching design and delivery
  • Engage in professional development in relation to teaching, learning and assessment
  • Contribute to course development and the development of new programmes of study demonstrating an inclusive and collaborative approach to delivery

Education & Training

  • Degree or equivalent in Computing
  • GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
Experience

Academic or industrial or commercial experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Cloud Computing
  • Programming
  • Security
  • Data Analytics
  • Business Analysis
  • DevOps
  • IoT
  • Software Defined Networking
