Brakes have an opportunity for a **Finance Business Partner
** to join the Commercial Finance Team offering Business Partner support to the management of the Brakes Catering Equipment division.


This role will provide key business support to both the Head of Finance and the Catering Equipment Management team, providing strategic analysis and insight into business performance.

You'll understand trends and results at both a detailed and strategiclevel and identify connections between the two.

You'll be supporting with process improvement, compliance, annual audit as well as reviewing weekly/monthly and annual sales, margin and cost forecast and budgets.


This role is offering a hybrid working contract, with 1 weekly visit into the Ashford, Kent office, so you must be in a commutable distance to Kent.


Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for forecasting/planning and analysing variances to forecasts for key business metrics such as volume, sales, margin, deliveries and key KPIs
  • Liaise with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for BUR/MPR reporting for Brakes Catering Equipment
  • Provide insight into projects to include initial evaluation, feedback and ongoing success tracking
  • Reporting and monitoring the division's key performance indicators and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
  • A central point of contact for internal customers and stakeholders for finance related queries
  • Ad hoc analysis/guidance/investigation to improve performance to drive performance
  • Work closely with nonfinance teams to drive compliance and improvement
  • Provide insight and reporting based on contractual requirements and specifications
  • Support the Head of Finance in tasks concerning the wider Corporate Finance team, including ongoing process improvement, compliance, audit and projects

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies You'll be a qualified accountant with at least 1-2 years PQE (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and be able to drive performance through insight. Someone with strong business partnering skills across all levels with the confidence and ability to understand trends and results.
A high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential.

This role will require you to flex to different audiences and build strong stakeholder relationships so you must be comfortable with feedback and react with broad thinking.

We are looking for an individual who is highly numerate with strong data analytical skills who enjoys working towardstight deadlines in an agile commercial environment.

You'll have experience of adding value and challenging the status quo whilst understanding trends and results. SAP experience is desirable. An Accounting Qualification is essential.
