Band - Operating Department Practitioner:

We are currently seeking a Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a temporary position with a start date of 18/04/2024 and an end date of 18/04/2024. The role will be based at our location in Combe Park, Bath, Avon, BA1 3NG.

As a Band 5 ODP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure that the operating theatre runs smoothly and that patients receive the best possible care throughout their time in the theatre.

Your shift will start at 08:00:00 and end at 18:00:00. The payment rate for this position is £210 per shift, and payment will be made through PAYE.

As an ODP, your duties will include preparing the operating theatre for surgery, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and monitoring patients' vital signs throughout their time in the theatre.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and supplies are in good working order and maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant qualification in operating department practice and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

You should also have excellent communication and team-working skills, as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
