About the Role


iQ Student Accommodation is looking for a Senior Programme Manager whose key role will be to work closely with the whole Capital Projects Team within iQ.

Reporting to the Director of Building Improvement, the Senior Programme Manager will manage a plan of works including Building Improvements, Planned Maintenance, Façade Remediation, Refurbishments, Building Alterations and Extensions and New Build Developments.


We are looking for a Programme Manager who has experience in reviewing and reporting on progress and budgets, monitoring project progress and be able to highlight any deviations from plan.

You must be a great relationship builder as you will be required to liaise and build relationships with external and internal parties to manage deadlines and project delivery dates.


This right person will have strong communication skills and be able to deal with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment - you will be rewarded with working in a fantastic business that allows you to bring your innovative and work with the best in the sector.


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships; communicate and collaborate closely with internal Operational and Estates teams
  • Handson and detailed approach to dealing with daytoday activities and exercise professional judgement to resolve emerging difficulties
  • Identify programme conflicts and escalate / resolve accordingly
  • Establish risk criteria and continue to monitor through risk registers
  • Monitor compliance with all internal iQ requirements, statutory, quality and health and safety standards
  • Chair weekly meetings with the Capital Projects Team including preparation and ongoing updates within the technology platform (Smartsheet)
  • Resource allocation management across the team
  • Attend and input into legal recourse checkpoint meetings
  • Manage any ongoing queries and oneoff analysis or production of information/trends
  • Lead on Continuous improvement of data collection and reporting across the programme

Knowledge & Qualifications:


  • Degree or higher in a construction related discipline is desirable
  • Preferred Chartered Status or membership of a relevant professional body (eg MRICS, MAPM, or MCIOB) but not essential

Experience & Skills:


  • Understanding of data collection and reporting
  • Previous use of digital tools e.g. Power BI
