About the Role


Within this role, you will be operationally responsible for delivering the site strategy, driving operational excellence, meeting financial targets, and developing key relationships with customers and suppliers.


As a senior management team member on-site with multiple direct reports, you will critically review management capability and ensure development, recruitment and succession plans are in place and report directly to the Site Director.


You will input into the site supply chain strategy, deliver the site Health and Safety plan, and control the site's capital investment and overhead base to provide customer expectations whilst meeting 2SFG targets.


As the Head of Operations, you will control and continually reduce the cost of manufacture to deliver labour and material variance targets through a site manufacturing improvement plan.

You will also ensure the effective integration of the S&OP process at site level between Operations and Commercial as well as driving site communication and engagement.


We're looking for a real professional, someone who can hit the ground running, set out their agenda and have the confidence and resilience to deliver.


About You

  • Experience of managing large food manufacturing sites (500+ employees)
  • You'll have a Strong financial commercial understanding, with experience with at least £50m+ turnover factory within the food industry. Ideally within the chilled or short shelf life sectors
  • Proven experience of delivering successful change management & performance improvement initiatives
  • Able to build effective crossfunctional relationships with both internal and external customers to create mutual trust, understanding and respect
  • Clear evidence of talent management/people development experience at all levels
  • Experience of working with the major multiples, M&S experience desirable.
