The client is a Independent Legal Services firm in West End London (Holborn). The firm provides councel to clients around the world fighting for freedoms, settling disputes, protecting assets and growing businesses.

Description

Assistant Financial Accountant - Duties:

Preparation and posting of monthly accruals and prepayments for the firm and group subsidiaries;
Maintenance of fixed asset register group subsidiaries;
Calculation and posting of fx revaluations for non GBP balances;
Preparation of monthly P&Ls and maintenance of monthly P&L reconciliations;
Preparation of monthly balance sheet and reconciliations and responsibility for managing asset leasing schedule;
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT/GST returns for group subsidiaries;
Assistance in the preparation of Annual LLP Accounts and subsidiaries for audit review, liaising with auditors to provide additional analysis as required;
Completion of surveys (NSO, industry surveys, etc);
Responding to adhoc information requests and performing adhoc data analysis;
Input and recommendations to enhance current processes/systems/reporting methods;
Adhoc project work.

Profile

Assistant Financial Accountant - Will Possess:

Part qualified accountant, management accounting background preferred but not essential
Legal experience preferred but not essential
Willingness to "roll the sleeves" and to get the job done
Experience of using Aderant, or other similar practice management system
Excel/spreadsheet working to intermediate levels
Ability to write and run SQL queries preferred but not essential
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to 'run with the program'
