Procurement Apprentice

We are seeking an individual to take up the role of Procurement Apprentice. The role is to assist with all aspects of the procurement cycle and support the wider procurement team.

What will the apprentice be doing?- Converting purchase requisitions- Expediting open purchase orders- Raising purchase orders- Providing performance data to vendors- Monitoring obsolescence- Maintain vendor managed inventory data- Monitor actual spend vs forecast spend

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?- On successful completion of the apprenticeship, individuals will have achieved the CIPS Level Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations, a globally recognised qualification- Training will be a combination of on the job and off the job- The off the job element will include classroom style learning and revision days as well as one to one tutor sessions- Study guides, eBooks and eLearning will be provided

What is the duration of the apprenticeship?- 19 months

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?- Progression to Level 5 qualification

Desired skills and personal qualities- Self-confident & determined- Excellent written and verbal communication- Well versed in IT skills for example Microsoft Office- Good at problem solving- Confident & professional telephone manner- High organisational skills- An aptitude for figures and the ability to manage a budget- An analytical mind- Teamwork- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines


Qualifications:

Apprentices must be aged over 18, have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above, and not have studied procurement at Level 4 before
