Description
The Mayor's Skills Academies, LSBU Green Skills Hub is seeking to recruit a Business Engagement Officer.

As a Business Engagement Officer, you will nurture relationships with green sector businesses in the boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham.


About you


In this role you will help businesses understand local opportunities and the benefits of engaging with the Hub - with a focus on jobs, apprenticeships, work placements and training.

You will also build relationships with other internal and external stakeholders, helping to maximise employment potential. We need someone who's able to create new opportunities by developing an understanding of employer's needs. The majority of your time will be spent networking with local businesses.


The skills and experience you will need to be successful
This role is varied and demanding. It requires a confident, innovative and forward-thinking individual able to work well with business, residents and councils. You will be experienced in building relationships, creating new opportunities and have knowledge of the growing green sectors.


Details about the role
This is a fixed term, full-time post with the core hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm. To meet the needs of the role, you may occasionally be required to work outside of these hours.


Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
