_What's the scope of the role?_
An exciting opportunity to be Head of Health & Safety has become available where you'll be accountable for the HSE strategy and implementation for the business, operationalising across the business so that all activities are conducted in line with the organisation's Zero Harm ambition.
_What you'll be doing day to day._
You'll be managing a team responsible for developing the Heath, Safety and Environmental strategy in line with both EDF Energy and EDF Group strategies and standards, monitor compliance and oversee action to address identified issues.
_What do you need to be great at this role?_
You will hold a relevant professional qualification, such as NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered membership of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH).
You'll be a strategic thinker with strong people management, relationship building and influencing skills and leadership skills.
- Functional specialist in health, safety and environment
- Experience of leading a HSE teaM/Function
- Experience of developing and implementing occupational health, safety and environmental solutions
- Experience of leading an organisations safety agenda across disparate teams and activities
- Experience of working in the energy / renewables sector
- Uptodate knowledge of current trends and best practices in occupational health, safety and environment
- Strong commercial knowledge of business operations
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Track record in setting and delivering against environmental sustainability plans
