Test Architect - £60 per hour inside ir3- Stevenage - hybrid (2-3 days onsite) - one stage virtual interview - Sector: Aerospace & Defence - must be eligible for SC clearance


Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Test Architect to work with a world leading aerospace and defence company producing next generation technology.


Responsibilities:

As a Test Architect you will look after all aspects of the product test throughout the lifecycle.


This means collating test and testability requirements from all customers (Internal, Domestic and Export) across the Product Life Cycle, flowing them onto equipment when required.


Our test architects actively lead and ensure optimum Built In Test (BIT) coverage is achieved at system and sub-system level and lead development of the Test Equipment (hardware and software) to meet all project requirements.


We also define the test access of the system in liaison with the Chief System Proving Engineer, Chief Design Engineer, Manufacturing Manager and Customer Support teams, defining and implementing the Test and Testability Policy within a Program.


Collaborating with and managing customer expectations throughout the development process, our team defines project diagnostic strategies, and product factory Pass Out Testing requirements, holding responsibility for design trades between Cost, Scope andTime.


Test Architects also handle the system Testability Modelling in order to partition and assign test targets to the sub systems.


Skills:

Ideally educated to degree level with substantial experience of Test, Electrical and Electronic engineering, ideally including at least one of the following:

  • Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
  • Analogue electronics and RF.
  • Power Electronics.
  • Experience of structured Test Modelling techniques

Good understanding of broader engineering fields, including:

  • Systems design.
  • Safety systems
  • Ability to technically manage internal and subcontract activities.
