As a Kitchen Assistant with ISS UK, you will be at the heart of the action and will play a key role in our catering operation, assisting with the preparation, cooking and service of food while keeping an excellent standard of cleanliness and safety.

The Role

To assist as directed with all aspects of food service; ordering, preparation, cooking, presentation and stock control.
To create, maintain and enhance effective customer relationships, which includes team members, the Client and individuals in the external environment.
To ensure the prompt service of meals and services at required times to the Company's standard and to the satisfaction of the Clients.
To be responsible for making sure that any cash/takings belonging to the company are dealt with in the appropriate manner and reconciled accordingly.
To ensure that the meals and services comply with the agreed budgetary standard and cost.
To ensure that all company documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
To carry out any reasonable management request.
To receive and implement any training required.
To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments.
Work to a high standard of general hygiene, maintaining the cleanliness of the site.
Uphold our Health & Safety values, always keeping a secure and safe environment.
Keep to deadlines, with prompt service of meals in line with our standards of accuracy.

About You

Enthusiastic approach to work
Catering experience is preferred but a positive, cando attitude is essential
Good understanding of the principals of food hygiene
Prepares, presents and cooks food to a high standard
Excited about food and tries to promote it
Is aware of food costs
You can follow instructions but are not scared to make your own decisions for what's best for the customer
Making sure the customer come first, ensuring their experience is an exceptional one one
A determined team player who works well with others
