Financial Accountant
£60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus, Private Health, Life Assurance, Income Protection and more
Newcastle area (Hybrid working)
We are seeking a technically strong financial accountant to join our client's established pharmaceutical business.

As a financial accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial records, as well as preparingfinancial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review reconciliations prepared by others
Revenue recognition review
Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Provide support for internal and external audits
Lead on the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations
Analyse financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements:

ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification preferred
3+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a pharmaceutical or related industry preffered
Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS
Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
Knowledge of VAT
Experience of revenue accounting
